Lexapro for Social Anxiety

You can take the medicine with or without food. If it bothers your stomach, make sure you eat some food with it.

Lexapro and Headaches

Lexapro and Insomnia

In order to get a better sleep you should develop a regular sleeping regimen. You should try to go to bed and out of the bed at the same times every day. You should also avoid drinking alcohol and caffeine. Also make it a habit to leave your worries out of the bed. If you are having troubles getting rid of your worrying thoughts, get out of the bed and leave your bedroom for a while. As soon as you feel sleepy again, go back to bed and try to fall asleep.One of the Lexapro side effects is also Insomnia and people who experience this symptom have difficulties falling asleep. They are also waking up in the middle of the night very often and then have trouble falling back asleep. If you are experiencing insomnia while taking Lexapro, you need to talk with your doctor.

Lexapro and Alcohol

Mixinf drugs and alcohol is always dangerous and drinking alcohol while taking Lexapro is not recommended. If alcohol is taken together with Lexapro, it can enhance the effects of the medication. This also means that the dangers of experiencing all the negative side effects become significantly increased.

Quitting Lexapro

Never try to quit taking Lexapro without consulting your doctor first. Quitting Lexapro suddenly can cause withdrawal symptoms such as agitation, tiredness, and confusion. If you want to stop taking it, you have to talk with your doctor about that and he or she will help you wean off gradually. That way you will minimize the chances of experiencing the withdrawal symptoms.
